Well Crap...

I lost one of my jobs today. Specifically my executive assistant position, ie. the one that gave me a small, but, predictable salery. The studio has been going through some rough patches and I'm the collateral damage. Next month I will only be a piano teacher and I will take a pay hit making over a third less than I have been. I won't go into all the details right now as I'm still processing it all. But, suffice it to say I'm scared, hurt, angry, and distraught. I don't want to go back to the more unpredictable wages of a contract employee despite promises from my boss they would do what they can to get me students to make up for the pay hit. Suffice it to say, I just don't know what I'm going to do.

Sorry to hear this Megan :( however, I know sometimes that when hard things like this happen, unexpected good things come from them. Just hold tight and bunker down and you'll weather this!~

Ah, shit, leave it to me to stick my foot in my mouth and make paycheck jokes when this is the problem. I'm sorry, girl!! Definitely a frustrating and hurtful situation. Let me know if you need a shoulder; Mary and Sonia and some of us are going to try to get together on Saturday for a (cheap) GNO if you want to come! Let me know. (((HUGS)))

Sarah- Don't worry about it!! Really, it didn't bug me at all. Though when I do think about it, it does give me a chuckle- which is good! I may take you up on that. Not sure where I am at this point, still reeling from all of this. But, I will let you know for sure! Thank you girl! (((HUGS)))

Oh, no. That's really sucky. I'm sorry. But like Heather said, sometimes really good things come from bad situations. All those cliches are true - you never know what's around the corner; when one door closes, another one opens; blah blah blah.

Good luck. I'm sending out good vibes for you.

Annelise- You are very right, those cliches are there for a reason. Just trying to work through the intitial 'trauma'. Hopefully as I calm and settle, I'll cast a wide enough net and see the right option for me. Thanks for the support girl!

Hang in there Megan. I know it's probably not great to hear, but everything happens for a reason, and always works out in the end. It will be tough, but you know you'll be ok and get through it. And if you need to vent, I'm only a skype or email away. Sending cosmic hugs your way .... oooo

Sara Louise- Hun, it's is very good to hear it actually. The first 24 hours, not so much- now definitely! I'm hoping that this 'closed door/open window' scenario will result in a job that not only will I enjoy will also allow me the ability to save up for my European dreams. Trying to find the bright side does help. Thanks for the cosmic hugs!!
